About the Event

All those with or without faith are invited to join the event in confronting issues that are often unheard. It will be an open dialogue featuring our speakers of various faiths and practices with the aim of inspiring, educating, and affirming the common denominator that we are all human. It is our pleasure to introduce you to our panel speakers who will be discussing topics of faith-based persecution as they affect members of their own minority religious groups internationally. Floyd A Brobbel, CEO of Voice of the Martyrs Canada (VOM Canada) will be sharing his insight on Christian persecution and the work being done by VOM Canada to support those suffering. Usman Mahmood is a lawyer and managing partner at CKM Law in Calgary, specializing in Immigration and Refugee law. Mr. Mahmood will be speaking on the experiences of the persecution of members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Babur IIchi is the Program Director at the Campaign for Uyghurs. Mr. IIchi and will be discussing the horrific genocide being perpetrated against the Uyghur people in East Turkistan. We would love to see you all there for this educational event.
